MSE for Recent Grads

So, you want to be a rock star software engineer. You took the time and made the effort to build a solid foundation by earning a bachelors degree. But you are now looking to further your knowledge, polish your skills, and take your career to the next level. The Master of Software Engineering (MSE) for recent graduates program will guide you along the path of your career goals.

MSE – Scalable Systems

For entry-level developers with less than two years experience, or equivalent internship/project experience.

Program Focus: Students study scalable systems, including large-scale, intelligent systems.

In addition to the MSE core, students take 17-611 DevOps: Modern Deployment and 17-648 Engineering Data Intensive Scalable Systems

Duration: 16-months, on-campus, full-time, requires an internship
Median Starting Salary: $110,000

MSE – Embedded Systems

For entry-level developers with less than two years experience, or equivalent internship/project experience.

Program Focus: Students study embedded systems, including Internet-of-Things (IoT) and cyber-physical systems.

In addition to the MSE core, students take 15-640 Distributed Systems and 17-722 Building User-Focused Sensing Systems

Duration: 16-months, on-campus, full-time, requires an internship
Median Starting Salary: $115,000
