The professional programs in software engineering involve a rich and diverse family of people including faculty, staff, students, alumni, project mentors, and industrial project sponsors.
Program faculty provide an extraordinarily broad base of expertise in software engineering and computer science, drawing on resources from Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science, the Software Engineering Institute, the Heinz College, the Tepper School of Business, and others. Numerous faculty are world-recognized leaders in research, and most have substantial industrial software development experience. The faculty also includes a number of industrial practitioners from local industry, who serve as adjunct instructors and mentors.
