By Jen Potter

Aishwarya Jaiswal, an MSE – Scalable Systems candidate, is the recipient of the 2020 Director’s List Scholarship in Software Engineering. The award, established in 2019, recognizes students in the top 5% of their class who also demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, strong communication skills, and exceptional personal initiative. Aishwarya is the first recipient of this award.

Prospective awardees are identified by the Program Director and Academic Program Manager after the completion of the second semester of study. A committee of faculty members and project mentors evaluate the pool of prospective awardees and select one or more winners.

Travis Breaux, Program Director, remarked, “Aishwarya has been an excellent example of leadership in our community. As a member of our faculty search committee, she interviewed and provided student feedback on a critical function in MSE program staffing. As a program ambassador, she assisted by showcasing the program’s unique approach to professional education to recruit top students. We look forward to her long-term impact on the program and the practice, following her graduation.”

It is our sincere pleasure to congratulate Aishwarya for her effort and dedication to the MSE programs!
