17-692 Product Management Essential for Engineers, taught by Professor of Product Management Jim Berardone, prepares technically minded students to understand and use the essential product management concepts and practices in product development so that they will be able to ensure that the customer problem is well-defined, and the right product idea is conceived, built, and used. Students will be able to contribute to the bigger picture and influence product decision making.

Berardone brings more than 20 years of experience building technology businesses, from startups to multinational corporations to the classroom. He has helped to create and launch 17 new B2B tech product lines and founded a professional education organization that trained over 1,000 professionals in the art and science of product management and innovation.
