Warhol App Continues to Captivate

Developed three years ago by MSIT-SE graduates, Ramkumar Nagarajan, Dinesh Ramadoss, and Kothanda Ramakumar Ramaswamy as a part of their MSIT Project requirement, The Warhol: D.I.Y. POP app still continues to captivate users. The application, which allows users to apply Warhol-esque effects to images and photos on their iPhone and iPad while teaching them about the techniques used by the famed Pittsburgher, was recently featured by The Guardian newspaper. The article, “From Tate to the Louvre, the world's best museums and galleries online”, ranked the Andy Warhol Museum as one of the best museums in the world with respect to interactivity. And this was due in no small part to the overwhelming success of the app itself, which has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Gizmodo, and Art Daily.
