Bass Examines Architect Roles in DevOps

Len Bass, adjunct faculty in the Institute for Software Research’s Software Engineering Professional Masters Programs, was recently featured in the Jan/Feb edition of IEEE Software.

Contributing to the publication’s acclaimed “Pragmatic Architect” column, Bass’s article - “The Software Architect and DevOps” - examines the role of the modern software architect as a key player in the selection, tailoring, and successful deployment of a variety of popular new organizational DevOps practices.

Bass, a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute and formerly Senior Principal Researcher at National ICT Australia, has contributed heavily to the shape of software engineering practice. He is a two-time winner of Software Development Magazine’s Jolt Productivity Award.
