Warhol iPhone App Wows and Educates Users

As part of the Practicum requirement for the MSIT-SE degree, a group of SSN students created an application for the iPhone that allows users to apply Warhol-esque effects to images and photos on their iPhone, and teaches them about the techniques that were used by Mr. Warhol. The Warhol D.I.Y. Pop app was created for the Andy Warhol Museum, a museum in the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh organization dedicated to the work of Andy Warhol and pop art. From start to finish, the team took a short 7 months to develop the app. In its first day of release, the Warhol DIY Pop app was the most popular download at the iTunes store.
