This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Masters of Software Engineering Program. On March 12th and 13th of 2010 the Masters of Software Engineering Program will host an Alumni Reunion. Come help us celebrate!
Much has changed over the last 20 years both within the MSE program and across campus. The MSE program has a new home (the "cave", no longer feels so cave-like ...), Carnegie Mellon recently inaugurated the new Gates Center for Computer Science, we now have two interdisciplinary degree programs in Embedded Software Engineering and Software Engineering Management, and we have several internationally educational partnerships with universities in India, Portugal, and South Korea. At the same time much remains the same - notably our commitment to making the MSE experience a transformative one along many dimensions.
We would like to take this opportunity to show you around our new home, introduce you to the changes in the curriculum, hear what you have been up to, catch up with old friends, and perhaps meet some new ones. The reunion will follow next year's CSEET conference and will be held in the new Gates Center for Computer Science.
We invite you to submit a paper describing relevant experiences since leaving the program. We are particularly interested in hearing about:
Your experience applying knowledge gained from the MSE Program
Your experiences acting as an "agent of change"
Your impressions about the changing face of software engineering.
Contact Linda Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org to register or for any further questions. We hope to see you there!!
