S. Sivakumar, PhD
Professor, SSN SASE
Dr. Sivakumar obtained his PhD in 1987 from IIT, Bombay, specializing in mathematical modeling and simulation as applied to process industries.
His vast experience in development includes various projects involving the development of process control and simulation systems, to architecting and developing large scale business applications.
Dr. Sivakumar joined Rational in 1999, functioning as the company's techincal lead in India. He was one of the early adapters of Rational's methodologies and tools in the development environment. When IBM acquired Rational, he assumed the role of senior software IT architect in the IBM Software Group.
Dr. Sivakumar has worked with SSN SASE since 2002 as an adjunct instructor. In February 2009, he joined the SASE faculty as a full-time faculty member, and will assume teaching the Methods: Deciding What to Design and Analysis of Software Artifacts core courses.
