António Damasceno

Mr. António Damasceno currently serves as an instructor in our Distance Education programs. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Informatics Engineering from the University of Coimbra and a Master of Software Engineering dual degree from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Coimbra.

Damasceno is an accomplished software architect with over 20 years of experience in multiple domains, including local government, accounting and finance, travel, and operations control. Damasceno is currently the acting CEO of ISA Intellicare, a Coimbra-based venture in IT-enabled home healthcare. Previously, he has occupied a variety of leadership roles including project, product, and technological partnership management. Given his significant experience in early-lifecycle activities, Damasceno is particularly interested in the area of Requirement Engineering as an instructor in our Distance Education programs.

António greatly enjoys swimming in his free time. When he is not working or swimming laps himself, he serves as the President of the Regional Swimming Association of Coimbra and Deputy to the General Assembly of Portuguese Swimming Federation.
