Jennifer Boyce Ciroli

Adjunct Teaching Faculty

Jennifer has been working as a writer, information architect, and user advocate in the software industry since 1995. After she completed the MAPW program at CMU, Jennifer was the first technical writer at a small startup software and services company. She later accepted a technical writing position at Transarc (now IBM) where she's tested and documented many different software products, including those in the WebSphere family. Jennifer is currently the Senior Manager of Documentation and Training at Rhiza, focusing on teaching users how to use the Rhiza tool to made data-driven marketing decisions.

She is passionate about providing users with the best experience possible, whether that's through the software itself or the documentation that accompanies it. Her current role involves an interesting combination of information architecture, customer education, and writing. Jennifer also enjoys the opportunity to teach communication skills to both sides of the software development team through the Software Documentation course and the MSE Communication for Software Engineers course.
